Fragola Performance System's swagged PTFE hose assemblies are perfect for worn out rubber brake lines. These are available in all popular configurations of -3 AN, -4 AN, -6 AN and -8 AN hose ends, as well as 1/8 NPT. The properties of PTFE make it a natural choice for use in all highly corrosive applications like automotive brake fluid and fuel service. P.T.F.E. also works well for hot oil, power steering, automotive air conditioning, gauge lines, as well as nitrous oxide lines. These hoses will take high pressure and cycle over and over without failure. All lines are pressure tested to their rated working pressures before shipping.

During manufacturing PTFE powder is extruded into a smooth bore tube product. The tube is then fed into a machine that weaves stainless steel wire into the familiar braided pattern. Then, prior to assembly the hose is inspected 100% and any flawed sections are discarded.

Since stainless braided hose can be abrasive to anything it comes in contact with Fragola also offers the -3 and -4 AN sized PTFE hoses with both a clear and a black smoke plastic cover. When fitted with a cover these hoses will not scratch aluminum panels or anything else they may come in contact with. The black covering will give you the look of a traditional line with all the benefits of a PTFE lined hose while the clear cover gives the appearance of braided hose without the abrasive qualities.

As a rule of thumb when selecting an A-N hose to replace a given size automotive hose, the dash size is the nominal size in 1/16". For example; -8 A-N, is 8/16" or equivalent 1/2" automotive hose. The AN hose, however, will be slightly smaller due to the wall thickness of the hose. Please reference the chart on the specifications tab for the nominal inside diameter of the hose you are interested in.

Please note: Many people over tighten the aluminum fitting on the adapter, which distorts the 37 degree seat and may cause a leak. Both the threads and the seat surface should have a drop or two of oil to smooth the tightening process. Please reference the chart below for maximum torque specifications. Another method of tightening is to bring the nut to "hand tight" and then rotate it another 1/4 turn with the proper wrench.
