Anyone building a high horsepower/high boost 2JZGTE engine has
to consider
the effects of cooling. The OEM fan is superior and cools better than
most
electric fan kits on the market but causes an untidy mess in the engine
bay and doesn't look so "pretty". We have taken the good of both worlds
and created a fan
kit that not only OUT FLOWS OEM but it really is OEM just from an IS300.
Not only does this kit improve cooling, it also frees up sacrificial horsepower that the factory supra direct driven fan soaks up. This also greatly improves the longevity of the water pump and reliability of it as well. On high RPM motors, the factory fan spins the shaft completely out of the water pump causing catastrophic failure. Don't be a victim. Be proactive.
Our IS300 Fan Shroud allows you to replace the OEM clutch fan with a pair of 2001-2005 IS300 (or 1998-2005 GS300) electric fans. Lexus OEM Fans are some of the best, proving to outlive any GS300 or IS300 we have come across! A pair of used GS300 or IS300 fans will not only outflow the OEM clutch fan but can also be acquired for next to nothing - making this option a no-brainer when compared to other electric fan kits on the market!
We also
utilize a clean Aluminum Fan Shroud that can be Polished or Chromed to
make that
one extra bit in the engine bay shine! We offer this Shroud or Kit in
Bare
Aluminum, Chromed, or Polished with an alteration in the price listed below.
Going
more into test fitting with the thanks of quite a few customers we have
redesigned the shroud to be UNIVERSAL to ALL radiators with the
bracketry
altered a bit and a specific bushing or bracket that will need to be
included
depending on which radiator you select below that you will be installing
the kit
on.
Lexus OEM Fans are some of the best and if purchased new you will get a
warranty to back the parts up just like you would with any other OEM part, these
fan motors are 2-speed and can be controlled by Motec, AEM or Fcon depending on
the open slots you may or may not have on your ECU setup.
